How to Waterproof a Jacket

Waterproofing your outerwear is easy, and when you have a good product, you only have to do it once during the season.  Trust us, we live in Washington. We know rain, and we know that warm = dry.

No matter what you're looking to expose your jacket to, whether its snow storms, a daily bike commute, or just a rainy walk in the park, ReviveX® waterproofing has got you covered. It's crazy durable, easy to use, plus ReviveX products are 2-4x more concentrated and provide factory level performance, so you're getting a good value for those hard earned dollars. Here's how to waterproof a jacket in three easy steps:

1) Wash your Jacket- Dirt and oils actually attract and collect more water on the surface of your jacket. If you’re treating an eVent, NeoShell or Gore-Tex jacket, be sure to use a specialized cleaner like ReviveX Synthetic Fabric Cleaner.

2) Apply your Waterproofing: Here are two easy ways you can do this.

SOAK/WASH-IN instructions: Using ReviveX Waterproofing Soak, add garment to 1oz of ReviveX & warm water in a container for 10 minutes, you can also use your washing machine, just be sure to not rinse off the soak!

SPRAY-ON instructions: Using ReviveX Durable Waterproofing, spray ReviveX directly on your clean (wet or dry) jacket, be sure to saturate high wear areas like shoulders and cuffs.

3)  Dry Your Jacket - Be sure to use your jacket’s manufacturer recommended setting. For maximum results we recommended heat setting with the dryer on a low setting until completely dry. If you don’t have access to a dryer, our ReviveX Durable Waterproofing still performs when air dried for 48 hours.
